Aha!  I have finally figured out how to update my own accomplishments page!  This is sad… i know…  I have to admit though, I am just now getting back to a point in life where I have enough time to care.

So… Hmmm… Can I even remember back to January accomplishments?  Probably not.  I’ll just start here in June.  Well, I can remember March.  I’m not sure if this can be divided up into a bunch of different posts so I will just make the month being written about a larger font and set apart.

Well, March was a HUGE month for me and for us as a family.  First, I enjoyed a wonderful and needed Spring Break.  I had dearly wanted to go to Fredericksburg with my mom, aunts, and girl cousins, but it just didn’t work out.  About a week before I would have gone on the trip, SURPRISE!!!!  Here comes baby number four!!!!!!  We are due at the end of November or beginning of December.  It will be interesting to find out.  Also in March I administered my first achievement tests.  It was a fairly brainless task once I got in to the script.  The kids all sit down and I read the bold font.  I am responsible to make sure no one is using crayon, etc. and to make sure that they don’t accidentally start skipping bubbles and get way of track.  My exact feelings every month of this last year was that I survived!!!  Let me just say, there are some “interesting” parents out there.

There wasn’t much in the month of April thank goodness, except to gear up and survive the month of May.  I did get to see my sister and her family but I’m not sure if that falls under the accomplishment category or not.  I did take the final required teaching exam for my certificate in April, the PPR.  They don’t mail the results out until May.  May promises to be a BIG month.

OMG.  May is here.  The number one question on my mind all month… Will I survive this?  I had scheduled TWO weddings to shoot before I was hired to teach fifth grade.  Our school finished in May and so in addition to two weddings I am finishing school which is both easy and hard at the same time.  Again, I am just looking to survive here.  I PASSED the PPR exam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That is a HUGE accomplishment for me!!!!!!  I am now a fully certified teacher through the year 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!  I subcontracted my cousin Joshua to help me and be a second shooter on the two weddings in May.  That may have been one of my smarter accomplishments.  :o)  Joshua is really great and creative.  We also managed a trip to Ikea for LOTS of shelving and already starting to get organized for homeschoool.  Homeschool?  Yes.  And we also survived their little book faire.  Omg.  I have no words for that.

I also had my 32nd birthday on May 1st!  Yay!  Still in survival mode though…

Oh.  I made it.  That is about all that is on my mind now.  I am also thankful that I was able to finish my first trimester of pregnancy during school which kept me nice and distracted.  Hallelujah.  This week is the week of our 10th anniversary and we are having Joshua take some pictures of us tonight @ Botanic Gardens.

We ended up near the old post office near downtown Fort Worth.  Here is some of the awesomeness:

I’d say out of all of this our 10th anniversary is my favorite accomplishment.  I love Aaron so much.  He is so amazing and perfect and handsome.

Hmmm… now it is the beginning of October and I am trying to remember back to July.  In July our big accomplishment was Jessie’s fifth birthday.  We celebrated by taking the girls to the American Girl doll store in Dallas.  I think my mom and I enjoyed seeing such an amazing place as much as the girls did.  It took them a while to focus in and pick the doll they liked.  In the end they both picked the girl of the year doll, Lanie.  These dolls are flat out gorgeous and their accessories are ridiculously amazing [and the prices match too!].

In August we started school.  I am so very proud of this accomplishment.  It took a very scary book fair and lots of reading and research to settle out all the details but it finally happened.  My kitchen is now somewhat converted to a school room and the kids are doing great.  I have decided that Kindergarten is the most difficult age to teach b/c they can play the dumb card and there is nothing much that can be done about it.  It is the ‘ace in the hole’ so to speak.

School continues and is going good.  The kids are learning!  We are staying on our goals and getting lots of extra stuff accomplished too!  Between July and now I have painted our bedroom, removed all the wallpaper in the house [master bath, kitchen border, and breakfast nook area below the chair rail], painted the entry way, painted the hallway, and painted the playroom.  Whew.  Nuff said.  Well, I may as well go on.  Ha ha…  I also managed to attend a few of my cousin’s volleyball games and get started going to Titus 2 Bible study on Thursdays.  That Bible study totally ROCKS!  We also moved churches from Calvary to Gateway.  I will always love Calvary and the people there, this is just a change we needed to make for our family.

Well, today is October 5th, and I am updating so I may as well write a little about October.  So far the Upward soccer league with the kids has been going great.  They are having lots of fun and not getting any serious injuries.  I looked into winter basketball and another near-by church is doing that, so YAY!  I am doing the best I can to keep the kids lives well rounded and not weird.  Sometimes it seems like a very long time until Madelyn comes and occasionally I think it is just around the corner!!!  My big accomplishment in that department is staying on track [for the most part] with weight gain.  The last trimester is a doozy but yesterday during prayer time I really felt like the Holy Spirit wanted me to release that care to him.  My next plan is to do spray texture on the wall in the breakfast nook area.  Ha ha… we’ll see.

November – December

Well…  I am updating these two months from last year during May 2011.  Hahahaa…  oh well.  Anyway, my big accomplishment was to finish being pregnant and to have Madelyn on December 3!  Totally awesome!  Other than that… recovery and getting used to a baby again.  It is fun, exhausting, crazy, perfect, messy, cute, and everything I have ever wanted.  Minus the crazy… lol.
