Aaron and I thought it would be fun to have a family blog.  WordPress seems like a nice clean place to do that.  Aaron mentioned to me that he was interested in working up a statement of faith for our family and putting it on a blog and thats all the encouragment I needed!

We have been married seven really sweet years this year and we have three children.  We think we are done having children but time will tell.  We have Kathryn, age 6; Caleb age 5; and Jessie age 2.  They are hilarious and super duper hard work at the same time!  Jessie is at that fun age where their voice is so little sounding but can talk good.  I get no end of amusement out of just hearing her voice.  Caleb is a delight and always fun to be with.  Kathryn is organized and meticulous and precise and a hoot to watch the difference between her and Caleb when having them clean their rooms.

Our family legacy extends to both sides of the family and we are extremely blessed.  My parents are Christians and my grandparents too!  Aaron’s family is the same way.  We have heard much talk about leaving a multigenerational legacy on earth to bear witness for Christ and the Gospel and I am delighted to say that I have been plopped right in the middle of one.

I love the Scripture that we have in our bathroom.  It is on a wooden plaque that is supposed to be a key holder I think but I use it to hang my necklaces on.  Joshua 24:15 [in summation] As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Also, I have the priviledge of my father-in-law being the belladier of the one of a kind traveling liberty bell.  You may have heard of him [David Hall].  You can check out the liberty bell website here: www.proclaimliberty.us.  He and his faithful wife of 35 years and wonderful mother in law [to me] Phyllis have sacrificed so much to dutifully bring this symbol of blessed liberty to all that they are able.

My parents are equally wonderful.  They have been married for 37 amazing years and have faithfully served God the entire time.  They successfully raised three children to be strong Christians.  My parents are some of the biggest givers you will ever meet [alongside Aaron's parents].  They give of their time and money and abilities through serving in their local church where they have been faithful since at least 1993, maybe before.  Here is a story about my mom that represents who she really is.  She knew I was having a hard day at home with the children and after teaching Bible at Calvary Academy she stopped at the Starbucks [not cheap] on the way home and brought me my favorite espresso drink.  Now anyone who knows me knows how much that ministered to me.  She has done this on more than one occasion.  That is just the kind of person she is.  My father will drop whatever he is doing no matter how busy or important it is to either talk with me on the phone [and he did this all the while I was growing up at home] or come directly to my house to render ANY sort of aid needed.  Now thats a real man.
